Tesla Motor Company has announce they will be creating SuperCharger network for customers along the east coast of Australia. This will allow customers to charge their cars for free while traveling between Melbourne and Brisbane. The charging stations with be installed along major routes like the Hume or Pacific highways.
The charging stations will charge customers cars to a range of 250kms in 20 minutes, or 500kms after an hours worth of charging. Cars can be charged on a normal household power point giving around 50kms range for every hour of charging. The network of charging stations is being roll out in 2015 and all major cities on the east coast should be connected by 2016.
